Ed Xiques

Adjunct Artist in Music

Ed Xiques, a graduate of Boston University is active in New York as a saxophonist/woodwind player and composer.

He has performed and recorded extensively with many artists including Herb Pomeroy, Jaki Byard,Woody Herman, The Thad Jones-Mel Lewis Orchestra,Aerosmith, The Jackson Five, Tony Bennett, Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr., Ray Charles, Liza Minnelli, Harkness Ballet, Hudson Valley Philharmonic, New York Pops, and has released two recordings of his own music available from North Country Distributors, Redwood N.Y.

Ed is currently an active member of the BMI Jazz Composer's Workshop. At the workshop he has studied with Bob Brookmeyer, Manny Album, Jim McNeely and Mike Abene. He is also an active freelance player and a member of Diane Moser's Jazz Composer's Orchestra, The New York Fusion Ensemble, and the New York Jazz Repertory Orchestra. His music is published by theUniversity of Northern Colorado Press.
